I'm just wondering though, can psychotherapy treat severe anhedonia? It's like everything I try requires you to enjoy x, y, z, however I do not have the capacity to do this. Is this a big part of psychotherapy? Enjoyment? (not in the sessions, I mean discussing it and doing it out of session). The last therapist kept telling me to do something I enjoy even though she was well aware of the fact that i am severely anhedonic.
I'm just asking because I only get 10 free sessions this year so I do not want to waste them on something that I do not have the capacity to do.
