Friends, time, and work. No easy anwers, but the monster does recede as the rest of your life gets better and stronger.
Feed your good thoughts. Try to starve the monster out by forcing yourself to think other -positive- thoughts. One moment at a time turns into one day at a time turns into changes. One day you wake up and realize you'r going through stuff quicker and with more skill and it feels good.
