My B/F could tell you all about the library... he's worked there for 8 years. Unfortunately, most government jobs involve a certain degree of seniority that secures the positions of those who are lazy, ineffective, and useless. All sorts of waste takes place in the name of "giving people jobs" even if they do nothing but take up space and air. Productive? no. Sad? Yes. Would be great if the library had people employed who actually cared about the main purpose of the library -- "free" access to information for the general public who pay taxes for the service.
