I received the following from a very dear friend and mentor in my email today. You see, I told her in more detail what I told you above. This is what she had to say:

I have all sorts of "news" groups--associated for different things, like a love of mystery novels, but open to any and all topics--and there was posted on one an article about therapeutic qualities of tears. Well, duh! Everybody, but us gals especially, knows that a good cry is good for what ails us!

Any ol' how--scientific studies have proved that emotionally related tears contain toxins, while tears caused from physical irritation (like onions, grit, or minor injuries) are salt and water, only. So when we let loose and cry, we're getting both emotional and physical benefits. Kinda neat, huh?

My body should be totally rid of toxins as much as I've been crying lately! So... I guess it's a good thing.
