I have written many, many letters to my therapist in the time I have been seeing her. I find the process of actually writing out my thoughts and feelings very relaxing and knowing that she reads eveything I write is comforting. She has also written letters to me when I have needed something tangible to hold in my hands between sessions especially if I am really struggling with an issue or if she is on vacation and we are missing sessions.
