I have been with 3 different T's over the last 9 years. My current T is a lovely woman (I have told her so), but I also told her that I may need some higher power in my treatment. My treatment having changed from 'being a substance abuser', to , finding my best buddy whom had sui'd in our home (he was still alive when i found him), to, having weird personality changes over the last 8 years, to flashbacks to being abused as a child. All this has happened in life. (for more info have a look at 'R.I.P Trigger' in Grief and Loss, but its called Trigger Warning for a reason, ok).
My situation now is I am telling my T that she is not qualified enough to deal with me, and she agrees...
I know I need to speak to a higher power in psych therapy, and be advised on how to deal with the feelings inside.
I find Psych central the best advice center i can get, or afford at the moment.
It is a tricky situation seeing as my treatment will stop, but i will need to see someone higher up to get some answers.
