I'm not sure what to do about this or if I should just leave this alone:

Backround info: I interviewed about 4 months for a position in another department at my company. I was very excited about the interview and I thought it went great, the manager mentioned at the end of the interview "I have one other interview, but I'm sure you will hear from me very soon." A few days after my interview my manger cornered me, asking me all the questions about leaving my department and was confused on why the manager I interviewed with hadn't called me yet about getting the job. I have no idea how my manager found out I interviewed (I didn't tell anyone at work. My manager just kept saying ' oh I just overheard people talking.....'), I was told by the HR rep(who handles all of the in-house transfers) that my manager kept calling up there asking if I had the position, etc, and HR didn't know any information. It was very awkward with my manager for awhile...I explained to her I did not inform her of my interview because I wasn't sure what this new department would offer me as far as hours,etc- and this was the truth. Basically, everyone involved was confused. I sure was. So, after a few weeks of not hearing anything and my manager acting very weird towards me- I call the HR rep and she told me that the manager "decided to keep looking because he wants someone with experience." I never once heard him mention anything negative about me not having direct experience in the interview, so I thought this was odd but I kept it to myself. I still had a gut feeling one of the main reasons I wasn't offered the position was because my manager butted in and such. Especially after my manager told me "i'm really glad u decided to stay." Since I didn't decide to stay, I wasn't offered the position- and my manager knew that when she said this to me.
Anyways, I was really bummed, but I learned I needed to try and move on from that. That was until I saw the position posted again a few weeks ago (and funny thing-the post says nothing about having direct department experience.) So, I called the HR rep and left several messages explaining I had a question regarding the position, and if it was a new opening or the status was changed. Well, I have yet to hear back from HR, so now I really think something is fishy about why I didn't get the position in the first place. (I am still bummed about not getting it, this is something I want to get an advanced degree in, and it's gotten to the point I've questioned my love of my job and if I even want to stay in the company.) Should I just forget all this and try to move pass it? It's totally stressing me out.
