I know it's especially hard when you can't sleep and having thoughts of suicide. When you're awake and everyone else is asleep it seems especially lonesome.
I find it helpful on nights like those to write; either in a journal, a poem, or a letter. It doesn't even have to make sense, just so you are getting your thoughts out.
It does get better.
