I used to and can still hear laughing occasionally but I think they know who the boss is now.

Don’t take it too personally when there is laughing. Be firm and consistent - they need to know that you mean what you say.

Resorting to a bit of bribery wouldn’t go amiss either.

Try to discover what they like and enjoy and if possible get it for them but only if they have behaved.
