I totally understand your change in feeling both anxiety and sadness. WHat usually helps with the anxiety sometimes for me is to get little scraps of paper and a empty cup. I make myself write at least 5 or 6 short phrases of things that come to my mind that im worried about and then place them in the cup. If I'm too overwhelmed at the end. I'll leave it alone, but if not, I'll take each one out and read it again. Wierd thing is sometimes Im surprised that I wrote it. And then I might journal about one that really sticks out.
