"You have too high of an income for JerseyCare"..when I am obviously disabled and am living on SSDI.
When I mention that I want to go to Philly or a NASCAR race at Dover, Delaware..my PACT team or my housing staff says "Why don't you take someone with you?"..they must think I have to 'fit in' and learn to 'socialize' with other people...If I go to the Dover race, it will be a tour package with a busload of other NASCAR fans, so why would they push me to bring someone with me? It's not like I'd be all alone out there, and yes they have disabled accmodations at Dover such as trams from the parking lots for those who have trouble walking...I'm beginning to think they would like someone to go with me to make sure I don't cheat on my diabetic diet, or overeat..When I have been doing well sticking to my diet for a year without major problems..
and
"I don't care if you're in pain, you have to do this" when my knee pain flares up and I have to go to the doctor, and they want me to be there for a house meeting...I'm not weaseling out on anything, I have to see my doctor to get relief...Some people just don't get it that I have a life, too...
