I took Chantix when it first came out and used it to successfully quit. It makes smoking a ciggie taste like smoking insulation The only side effect I experienced was vivid, vivid, vivid dreams--some were a bit startling and disturbing, but I stuck with it and quit the cigs. Of course, it didn't do anything about the ocassional (still) urge to return to the little devils.
