You may have seen something like this (found near the bottom of every forums page)...
All times are GMT -7. The time now is 11:14 AM.
...but that's for
my time zone, Pacific Daylight Saving. Yours should be showing GMT -4. If it isn't, first
check your time zone setting.
The server is probably on Eastern time but that shouldn't affect us in any way. All the timestamps and chat calendar times that we see are automatically adjusted to whatever timezone we've selected.
References to GMT are commonly included in e-mail timestamps, etc., to make it clear exactly what timezone is meant and if/how it's been adjusted for daylight saving.
