I learned how to knit in college and found it really easy to learn. I never learned to crochet (yet) so I can't compare the two. They are both about the same price except as you get better in knitting you may want to buy more than one set of needles. But they both can use the same type of yarn so they can cost the same in that regard. I found the knitting really relaxing. I could tell how anxious/stressed I was by how tight my knitting was. Everyone was always how impressed at how tight I could get my knitting. Little did they know the reason.
