My heart goes out to you, I'm 18 and not living with my parents, but they do have me on their insurance, however, with the recession and all the benefits of the insurance have changed quite a bit and so until the $1500 deductible is met they won't pay anything on my appointments which are EXTREMELY expensive and my mom expects me to pay for everything on my own so I totally understand. I'm also really worried about when I turn 26 and have to get my own insurance because of pre-existing Bipolar Disorder, I'm not sure how I'll be affected. The government definitely needs to come up with a solution, because many people with Bipolar can't function normally without their Meds. Therefore have a hard time holding down a decent job without them which would put them even further in the hole since Meds are obviously very expensive and without a job they could definitely spiral out of control.
