I hear voices, mainly in my head, but I still hear them. Some of them I only hear once, others I hear all the time. The ones I hear the most have their own names and personalities. Almost universally people will say that hearing voices is abnormal. The questions, however, I think you need to ask are:
Are these voices disruptive?
Do they tell you to do things?
Do they degrade you, or those around you?
Do you think they are keeping you from the life you want?
If any of these answers is yes, then you do need some professional help.
