What I've noticed from talking to people online and from my experience with a certain person who I thought was my best friend but in reality was lying to me for years is that people seem so caring and unique when they're trying to impress you and then once they've caught you, it doesn't take long for them to discard you like an uninteresting piece of clothing. And well, even though I've been bullied and made fun of countless times, I'm still pathetic enough to hope every time I start talking to new people, that I'll find someone truly genuine among them. Is that the way world works? Everyone is superficial and gets a kick out of mocking me? But the dangerous part is when I start to hope that someone will reply to a message or answer their phone..that's when I should pull away before it gets worse..before hoping becomes this uncontrollable longing.
