Why do people insist on lying? I did a job for a company and they told me they sent out a check. I didn't get the check and they insisted they mailed it. I still didn't get it two weeks of waiting. I spoke to them today and they said they just got it in returned mail. Ok, I would believe that had they not sent me mail many times before and managed to get contracts out to me and I get them in the mail in either the next day or two.
I know they just used the money they got paid for my job to pay their bills and float while making me wait. I also know they make clients pay in advance before I do a job. I told them fine, send me the envelope with the return stamp on it, they said "Oh no we already shredded that". And then they asked me if I was acusing them of lieing. And this isn't the first time they have blamed the post office for me not getting my check. And that job was hard over 90 degrees with a heat index of 105 and no shade and my eyes got sunburn for the first time in my life.
I really hate when people lie and then make me out to be the bad guy when I call them on it. It is a big trigger for me, it has happened too many times to me. I have been dealing with a big fat lier next door that has left me with a mountain of bills and damages, tells the truth and then finds out the terrible damage and just lies.
And the two are connected because if I didn't have to work to barely pay the interest on the debt created by my neighbor I would not do any more work for this company that makes me wait to get paid and lies about it.
And I can't be nice about it because all that does is give the company permission to just use me again and LIE.
Vent over, bad day today
