LD I hope you will feel better and more confident after meeting with your professor this afternoon.
I wanted to reiterate yesterday that I think you are handling this so well... expressing your fear here amongst your friends and still taking a proactive approach at school by seeing your professor to see how you can improve. You are acknowledging your fear but not letting it stop you, and taking active steps to improve the situation. I can't think of a better plan for success!
I don't know that I can say anything to take your fear away but please don't quit. I and others have a lot of faith in your abilities. Try not to let the fear overwhelm you. To answer your question directly I think yes, you should stick it out, it's still early in the semester and so you are still just working into the "groove" of the classes. There is very good reason to think that once you get more comfortable in the classes, and hopefully the professor can give you some tips and confidence, that things will improve as long as you don't let the fear hold you back.
But remember that this is your decision. If there comes a point down the road where you really want to change your plans, you always have that option! I am hoping you decide to stick with it, continue to talk to your teachers for advice, and continue to post here for "moral support". If we can help calm your fears then that will only improve your results on the next test.
Good luck and keep us posted! And continue to share here for support!
