My washer and dryer have not worked for about a year now. I go to my mom's house with garbage bags of dirty laundry a couple times a month. I have "house" clothes that I wear until they are filthy dirty because only my son and horse see me and I have "going out" clothes that I try to keep clean and only wear when I leave the house for errands and put my dirty "house" clothes back on when I return home.

My mom told me she would buy me a washer and dryer but first I need to hire an electrician and my disability income hasn't allowed me to do that yet. It is a major PIA I can say trying to do without but then I remember my grandmother didn't have electric or running water and washed clothes in a tub for years.
