An apology ~ explaining what you're sorry for would be best.

Like; "Sorry I drank too much, got sick, and passed out at your place!"

Back in my drinking haydays, I've done worse. I once threw up on a guy as we were making out & went on making out with him. Gross! When I woke up, I felt like such a horrible person. But he was gone...the end.

I hope that he accepts your apology and you're able to be true friends.
