Hi Ariesmars

I'm sorry it bothers you so. After being cooped up all winter, I enjoy hearing the bugs and birds through my open window. It's the constant traffic and police/fire sirens that bother me.

One year my sister and I traveled up to the tip of Wisconsin and stayed in a cabin on an island after peak season - we were the only ones there. I was really looking forward to falling asleep to the sound of ONLY nature. As I drifted off to sleep to the sound of a cricket, I realized the chirp didn't sound right. It became very irritating, so I headed out into the darkness to find the source. Turns out it was a low battery on a smoke alarm in an empty cabin several doors down. It was open, but the alarm was on a high ceiling I couldn't reach. The main office was closed. I headed down to the shoreline, found a chair, and sat there til dawn. When it started to drizzle, I thought I couldn't be more miserable. However, a Great Blue Heron entertained me. He was about 10 feet away munching on a huge fish he caught as he fought off another Great Blue trying to sneak a bite.
