I'd look at temping if you can and then start the process of applying for fulltime jobs once you're back.

I've been job hunting for a while now, and I'd say the typical turnaround from the time I send in a resume, to getting called for an interview is a week to 10 days. So even it you started applying now, they'd probably just be getting to the interview stage before you had to leave.

Just my thoughts.
