Do you have those loud things....what are they called....the loud buzzing....oh yeah, Cicadas?
I've heard those things before and they get to me after a few minutes.
Growing up in California, we had these bugs that looked like mutated crickets. They would make this clicking sound which wasn't too bad, but then they would also make this really high pitched buzzing sound that would go on for hours. Sometimes I couldn't even leave my windows open at night because they'd get so loud.
Hope they're quieting down for you.
