It's been a long time since I have been around. I hope some of you remember me at least a little.

I attempted to post here a month or so ago (at least I think it was that long ago) but the post appears to have been deleted since I couldn't find it later. I know it was a strange post but I didn't think it was all that bad. No big loss though since it was rather unedifying.

About this time last year I had a really severe mixed episode but after battling through it, just barely succeeding in avoiding a hospital stay (or a more permanent departure), I had a surprising period of remission from symptoms.

However, inevitably, winter arrived, and with it, as I anticipated, a downturn in mood and desire for activity. I fully expected this but felt I could cope. I succeeded for a while, but as happened last year, the mixed episode has returned with a vengance.

Needless to say, I have not forgotten the supportive, caring, understanding people who make this site a great community. I guess I am trying to say I still need this place and I hope you folks won't mind.

Short and sweet this time around. I'll post more soon I think. Thanks a bunch, everybody.
