you don't know a person till you meet them, even then so some cases not always fully true.
I used to have my head wrapped around a guy when I was younger, had met him & talked & even hung out, but he left to another state to go look for his ex, I was still wrapped up and I told him about my feelings, he stopped contact totally, I was down until one day I realised I liked another guy who was near & to my surprise he liked me too.... we eventually got together (not to say it wasn't odd but that's a different story) and I have more in common with my boyfriend than the other dude I used to day dream about.
my point is, do you really know this guy your fantasies are about? you may have someone around you that are ''just as good or better'' than this person.

And don't sell yourself short, I mean you don't have to just settle on being heart broke cuz some one you know a ''fair'' amount of doesn't write back.

Also if they completely ignore you that isn't right its hurtful, some could have the common decently to say ''im not interested' rather than ignore & cut ties all of a sudden
