Babies don't have language but can still respond to things and demonstrate feelings so when we say that thoughts come first, I wonder how these appear to babies? I think it is some sort of sensory input that comes before feelings, visual, smell, touch, taste, noise and this can be real or imagined - the thinking bit is only a processing of the sensory input and isn't necessary for the feeling to be felt...but of course I may be completely wrong -
