Another thought on that? He wants you to discipline him, and will continue breaking rules until you do. It's one way a child "knows" you care. Do try not to get emotional when correcting him, but put your foot down.

He may need more attention, and will do anything (even bad) to get that from you. It doesn't mean you aren't giving him plenty, some children need "more."
