I used Nuva Ring for years and preferred it to birth control pills. Unfortunately, the hormonal dose wasn't low enough to keep me from getting migraines. It also wasn't high enough to help my extreme PMS symptoms. I got a yucky discharge from it, but I know women who didn't have that side effect. You'll know whether you're sensitive to it within a month or two, and you can always switch later.

Have you tried using female condoms? They aren't made of latex. I like them, but they are more expensive than latex condoms. Can you use non-latex male condoms since you're monogamous?
