for fear of sounding too judgemental, but I have been a member of these forums for a couple of years now, and did he really use EXTREME cases?
I read people's posts, and I'm not convinced that he used such "extreme" cases...
However, I will concede that he only revealed (either for time or ratings, or to get right to the issue) the peices of their dx that caused alarm...but then again, it's a tv show, not a Doctor's office.
I understand the concern the show caused, and I think that's what you've expressed.
I do believe people should be more aware that so many in our society have a "mental illness"...perhaps we should figure out why that is...
