Outside of my family, I consider my greatest blessing on earth to be insurance. My heart honestly breaks for people who don't. My daughter is self-employed and her insurance has a $5,000 deductible. That is one thing I wish this country really could handle better - when someone is sick or injured, the last thing they should have to worry about is financing their care.
I'm on Vyvanse and it has literally changed my life. Even with insurance, my prescription (30 capsules) was $25 a month but the psychiatrist gave me a pamphlet with a card to get a 50% discount off of whatever my co-pay was for one year.
Another thing that might help is Vyvanse is prescribed for other medical/mental conditions - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, depression, etc. and I know Adderal is also. My endocrinologist told me she has many hypothyroid (under active thyroid) patients taking Vyvanse.
Your sleep schedule is probably effecting you more than you realize. For 2 years I took care of two little special needs dogs and I'm not kidding when I say I was up and down all night every night for months on end. I was so caught-up in caring for them I didn't realize what I was doing to myself until I started having every crazy problem on earth.
