You might want to consider one of the new atypicals. I know people who use Risperdal (risperidone) or Seroquel (quetiapine) p.r.n. (Latin for "as needed'), for just those symptoms. One other, but I don't remember which.

The only real issue for p.r.n. use is that side effects can be a large issue. Your body has no chance to adjust to the med, so you have to experiment a bit to find a drug that is tolerable enough, in your body.
