This is my opinion is that its a coping skill we have learned to do. Its not healthy but you might had a easy day but sometimes we do it because we think we deserve pain or punishment. It hard to retrain the brain to stop what the habbit is. It's not easy to stop you have to find away that works for you and most of the time people that cut can't do it on there own. You have to start loving yourself for awhile before you going to stop. I mean you don't have to fall in love with yourself but at least know that you don't deserve it anymore. I have stop for almost 3 years. Its possible to recover but its not easy!!! I'm sure you know its not easy to stop but for me I found something that works right now. I still think about and miss it but I think any person that has done it will think about it, time to time. Be safe and I'm sorry your having a hard time with this!!
