I am on Buproprion, a generic Wellbutrin. I have depression, seasonal affective disorder and anxiety. I am on it year round but have to adjust my dose. If I am feeling good and take too much it makes me agitated. At the 450mg dose I may have had seizures (petite mal) but have been fine at 150mg and 300mg. It does seem to help with my anxiety too. I know when I lower the Wellbutrin I have to increase the anxiety med a bit to compensate. Thankfully I have a Pdoc who will take the time to both educate me and work these things out. Other Pdocs stopped using Wellbutrin with me when I got agitated rather than adjusting the dose.... In the right balance it has worked wonders for me. Currently I have it paired with Klonodine but usually I use Valium. In the winter I have to add something else in to help boost it. Last year was zyprexa... this year we are trying some new med but will go back to zyprexa if we have to.
