I didn't know this either, but in the regular normal world, apparently people do demand what name they want to be called by, and other people obey it. Not that it ever happened for me. My mother refused to call me by my first name. It was always, "The Baby". Twelve years old, and I was still the baby. It was just alienating, and I still don't like my name. Sometimes I will call a friend (or T) by a nickname I make up, and I am truly surprised by how offended they get - "that's not my name!". I could never decide MY name, what gives THEM the right? I guess it's in the normal people constitution or something. Good for you, you are claiming your rights! I for one am proud of you, (insert FULL NAME here).
