I'm sure my counsellor didn't mean to reject me when I told her. In fact she was very honest in saying that she knew nothing about DD and that was why she felt she needed to refer me on. The problem was that I wasn't in a good place, and the referral process was such hell that it all feels wrong and has left me feeling scared of opening up about this part of me - especially since I don't understand it very well. But I will be glad when I have seen him on Thursday and we have talked about it - even though the talking will be a hard thing.
