Some of that controversy is involved with all the hormones they pump into cows for continuous milk production. Along with anti-biotics and everything else they put into your meat and dairy, a theory is that these things are causing early development in children, resulting in girls getting periods earlier. Possibly resulting in bigger mood swings, more symptoms of PMS and PMDD and worse periods. The things we do for food....
