Are you seeing a therapist Kmbpeace1171?
I am sorry your experienceing flashbacks, glad to hear you are getting them under control, they can be alarming and seem to come from no where. And I do think that it is possible that the jerking movement can be body memories. It is sure confusing how PTSD can effect someone, it sure amazed me.
You have to keep in mind that it is only memories that contain emotions and even some physical responses that never really got processed. I know it feels confusing, it did for me as I do remember my past and somehow it is coming back with so many emotions and feelings of urgency and I don't quite understand why.
It is important to not just look at the past or be afraid of it, it is and expression of a need to address the emotions trapped in those moments. It is a need to become aware and finally address something that happened that you never did truely addressed, but just pushed aside and tried to ignore. It is accessing the subconscious to bring it to the conscious so it can be understood and consciously slowly overcome. It takes time to do this, and though the memories will never go away, the emotions and sense of confusion and urgency can be finally let out and slowly soothed and dealt with on a conscious level.
It is very important you work with a qualified therapist that can help you and guide you to overcoming this. It does take time to work through and finally getting to a place where you can overcome these intrusions.
