Ooh, it's tough. Of course you can't ignore your feelings...there's no way to go around it, so you have to go through it.
You'll get over it, but it takes time. In the meantime, it's normal to wish you had a lobotomy. Consciousness itself can seem painful.
Try not to slide into self-destructive behaviors. Although it doesn't sound like you're in danger of that.
Support from others - friends - and distractions (like taking a class, learning something new, or embarking on a big project - preferably with other people) can really help. In the past when I didn't have a lot of support, I saw a therapist and talked about my feelings. It helped a lot. You need SOMETHING.
