I like the make up artist on What Not to Wear because she always says - you're not covering anything up. You're taking what is already beautiful and bringing attention to it.

You have gorgeous eyes - this just makes them stand out. You have awesome bone structure and blush just makes that pop a little more. Just like - a guy is cute no matter what he is wearing. But when he puts that effort into it and wears something that accentuates the great parts of him, you pay him a compliment, right?
