I have been taking a form of Wellbutrin for decades. I found with XL that I have fewer of the reported side effects than I did with the others, and no trouble with sleep or with seizures at the higher dosages. What's nice with Wellbutrin as opposed to some of the others is that if you do experience them, you can back it off and it does go away quickly as the half life is shorter than some of the others, returning to a better state. It also gives me (and pdoc) more control with the fluctuations in mood to easily adjust the med that did not experience with some of the other meds out there.

Everyone's chemistry is so different though. There will always be positive and negative reactions to any meds depending on the person. Unfortunately you never know until tried. I wish you luck in finding the one that works best for you. It's out there.
