As most of you may know, I was diagnosed with BPD in the early 2000's.

I just looked up some of the disorders like Histrionic, Dependent, Avoidant, and Narcissistic.

And looked again at "Borderline".

I think many ppl in my life, pro and laymen, have thought that I had histrionic, dependent, and narcissistic when I just looked up their symptoms and found that the only ones that fit were "Borderline" (mostly) "Dependent", and "Avoidant".

But Borderline was the most correct one for me, regardless whether or not it was diagnosed by a doctor.

I am sharing this because people have misunderstood my personality. They think I am unfeeling, punitive, self-centered, and clingy, when I avoid those behaviors! If anything, I function more like Avoidant, if not Borderline. I don't want to be the center of attention all the time, I don't feel like a "princess" and I think of others so much that my head hurts every day!

I wish that people would educate themselves (pros and laymen alike) about these disorders instead of prejudging us (me) so often.

Thanks for this!
