How appropriate I am reading this at 11:22 p.m. and trying to wind down before bed! No offense. I have had insomnia for years and regularly "beg" my pdoc for nighttime meds. Most just aren't appropriate, won't work, interact or I've tried them and they've failed. I'll try some of the suggestions here. I try something monotonous like a game or listen to my MP3.
I believe this rev happens because as an anxious person I have an entire day of stuff to process. I also know what hypomania and mania does - day and night revs. So it's still confusing to me.
