Went to Williams-Sonoma to apply for a job as a call center rep. These are the guys that own Pottery Barn and boy is there call center nice.

Anyway, they wanted me to fill out an application instead of turning in my resume. I watched what was going on around me and found that after someone turned in an application a guy would come out and say, "we will look over your app and get back to you in a couple of weeks". I was there for the training class they have starting on the 18th and felt put off. But once I turned in my resume, the HR lady called me back and said she was going to go ahead and put me in the next level for testing on Thursday (computer app tests and customer service situational skills). I know I don't have the job yet, but it was wierd because when I turned off my car I heard my own voice say, "well, here it is, your next job".

I have a 7 year gap in my work history and they accepted the fact that I was caring for a disabled family member fulltime. On the app it said last 3 years of experience. At least they are flexible.

Anway, wish me luck on my tests on Thursday. I guess the next step after that is the interview. I am polishing up on my computer skills tomorrow so I am familiar with the latest Microsoft Word and Excel programs. I want to be the best! I want to get that interview then the job and I will jump through hoops to do it.
