I live in Houston...Texas. We do have a winter but it doesn't stay cold all winter and rarely snows. Here's how it usually works out: A "cold front" will come in and we'll have cold weather for a few days and then it warms up again for a few days. This cycle is repeated from about late September or early October until some time in April or May. The coldest months are January and February. You would
not like our summers and this has been a bad one. The high temp this past weekend was about 108. And I'm not even going to go into the drought we've had since January. We usually get a lot of rain. This year has been amazingly dry. I've never seen anything like it. I don't think we've ever
had anything like it. A lot of trees are dying.
I've seen pics of New Zealand. It's very pretty. Other than the Hill Country, Texas is not really pretty.
