The larger the bank, the less they bother to do any customer service. I banked with a local bank for 15 years before it was taken over by Chase. Chase had a series of passwords for telephone banking that were arranged such that I could never communicate with them over the phone, so I opened an account with another local bank. I pay my bills through its electronic payments option, so I no longer have to write checks for regular bills.
