Welcome back, Pat.

It's general practice to leave a pointer when a post is moved. However, there is the time or two that a specific function isn't clicked in the right order and the deed is done.

For the largest part, pointers are left unless the post has been moved out the the public forums.

I hope that answered it for you. Yes, we can and we do as much as possible, and without occassional error.
