I was on it for 8 years. I gained weight, a lot. It is important to try to take it at the same time every day. Mine quit working for me, but I had a hard time convincing the doc of that. It took me over a year to come off of it and it was a nightmare! I know everyone reacts differently to drugs, however if I knew then what I know now you couldn't have paid me to start taking that med. Just my opinion.
