Love your comments, pariah, but you really can't go around hurting other people whether you'd like it or not. It's just a no-no. And yes, you do have to talk to your pdoc about it and whether or not he has you admitted because of it is just something you'll have to deal with. Because hurting other people is just something you can't do. If you do things like that you'll get admitted to "custody" (criminal or civil) a lot faster than if you just 'fess up to your pdoc. With much, much harsher possible consequences.

So for some reason the past week I have had an intense urge to do bodily harm to a couple people who have wronged me. Yes, I know I need to talk to my pdoc about this but I'm concerned that he will have me admitted if I do. Does anyone know if this is so? I need to tell him cause clearly we need to tweek my meds but I don't want to be committed against my will.

Well, best thing to do is probably to tell your pdoc and let him know all your feelings and what you'd like to do. He'll probably agree to tweaking your meds, but there's no way to know whether or not he would want to lock you up. That's just a chance you'll have to take. If you don't take that chance the downside possibilities are very bad. You might hurt someone and not be able to explain it to the cops. And that would be much worse than first telling it to your pdoc.

Any questions or insight in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Advice: Tell your pdoc everything. Let him/her make the call.
