when I was manic and hypomanic, I was very creative. I drew, painted and wrote obsessively. I think it can be part of the grieving process of having this disease that stabilizing our moods can lead to a loss or decrease in creative output. I used to write stories about dragons when I was manic and after I was stabilized my therapist wouldn't understand when I told him I missed the dragons.
